Resource Planning at Scale
The Challenge: A large organization managed team capacity and project assignments through manual, spreadsheet-based processes — slow to update, easy to get wrong, and invisible to leadership until something broke.
System Built: A custom resource management system, built with Google Apps Script, that centralized planning, automated status updates, and gave managers real-time visibility into team capacity.
The Result: Rolled out to 17 teams and 37 people. Based on internal estimates, it gave back roughly 16 hours a month per person — about 590 hours a month across the org — previously spent on manual scheduling and status tracking.
